What does a postpartum doula do?

• Educates on proper techniques for body / breast / chest feeding 

• Helps facilitate the emotional transition for parents as they welcome their little one into their family

• Helps facilitate a healthy sleeping schedule for the baby and the parent(s)

• Offers evidence based research and resources to clients in areas of their interest, such as perinatal mood disorders, co-sleeping, or diapering

What does a grief doula do?

• Connects couples or individuals with community resources such as support groups, community events, organizations, and counseling

• Offers logisitcal support in caring for the grieving indvidual or couple, such as light house work, meal prep, or coordinating visits from family and friends

• Helps facilitate the emotional transition in honoring and integrating the loss, such as through ritual or ceremony

What does an abortion doula do?

• Educates clients on their options and connects them with additional community resources, if desired

• Offers emotional, logistical and practical support in acquiring care

• Helps with and helps facilitate after care
